Pernilla Hellgren and Engla Höglund

On 5th April 2008, a 10-year-old girl named Engla Höglund was making her way back from the local community centre in her town when she disappeared in broad daylight. The police and volunteers spent days trying to find her and managed to narrow down their killer with a single photograph. But this wasn’t the first time the killer had dawned on its prey. 8 years ago, 31-year-old Pernilla Hellgren was in her hometown for her mother’s birthday when she was killed on the side of the road.

The consequence of not following up with the leads generated for suspects and ignoring the tips received, led to the death of a 10-year-old girl, Engla Höglund. Join us as we break down the two cases, and find the links which connect the deaths of these two people, as well as narrow down the alternatives which led to the horrifying murders of Engla Höglund and Pernilla Hellgren.
